Writing this post has been a struggle because it’s uncomfortable on so many levels. You probably know I had to put my house on the market, though it’s the last thing I wanted to do, especially at this point in my life. But I have no choice. Last June, the company that published my books for the past 16 years was sold and the new ownership is going in a different direction. Sadly, there is no future in it for me. I have sent out 4 new book proposals to as many publishers I could reach out to without having an agent (now most publishers require you to have an agent). And I have reached out to over 30 literary agencies. Never got even one response from either publishers or agents. It’s a shame because I am willing, able and so ready to keep producing books. But this is the reality. Without work (it's been over a year now), I have no income. Many of you have asked “how can we help?” and suggested I do a GoFundMe. This is why I am finally doing this.
