Meet Momo

Momo is a 10 year old little soul who has endured far more pain than any dog ever should.

For who knows how long, Momo lived with untreated injuries, old puncture wounds, severe infection, and neglect. By the time someone finally spoke up for him, the damage was heartbreaking. An infection had destroyed part of his jaw, leaving a large open wound that required emergency veterinary care. Without intervention, his suffering would have only continued and very likely ended his life.

Once Momo was surrendered, he was immediately rushed to the vet to finally receive the care he had gone without for far too long. The veterinary team worked to assess the severe damage to his jaw, which had been left untreated for weeks, along with multiple old wounds and infection. His care has been intensive: multiple medications, round the clock monitoring, bandage changes, and ongoing vet visits. While he thankfully does not need surgery at this time, his recovery will be long and requires constant medical attention.

Despite everything he’s been through, Momo is incredibly gentle. He rests quietly, accepts care with trust, and is finally experiencing what it feels like to be safe and loved. He’s a fighter but he shouldn’t have to fight alone.

The medical bills for Momo’s care have added up quickly, and his recovery is still ongoing. Between emergency visits, medications, bandage changes, and follow up care, we have already paid over $2500.00 in veterinary bills, with more appointments still ahead as he continues to heal.

This fundraiser will help cover the costs of his continued medical care, medications, wound management, and follow up visits so Momo can heal comfortably, safely, and with dignity.
