Hello, my name is Cody, my mother's(Jennifer) firstborn child, and I am fundraising for her. First, let me tell you a little about my mother. My mother is the type of person that will put other people's wants and needs before hers. She is an RN, so even her job involves helping people. She is a ball of joy to be arouund, and you can not help but be happy when she is around; she makes sure everyone has a good time in her presence. My mom loves to host get-togethers at her house. She is a first-time grandmother to three beautiful babies that she adores. Unfortunately, my mom was recently diagnosed with stage 3 invasive ductal carcinoma; it is a very aggressive cancer that is hard to treat. So we all know that regular chemo is already very rough on you and can make you VERY sick; well, my mother has to take stronger chemo than the traditional chemo. Due to these treatments, my mom has been sick and cannot work. But, of course, she is the type of person that is not going to ask for help and always wants to be the one taking care of people instead of being taken care of. So that is why I am here doing this because I do not think while my mom is fighting for her life, she should have to worry that she will not be able to afford things if she has to miss work.
