Yesterday morning, while I was cleaning her cage, my momma bunny was out roaming the room with her son. Suddenly, I heard a loud noise and saw her panicking and running in circles. I noticed blood and realized her nail had been broken off. When I picked her up, I saw her little foot was dangling—it was a clean break. I called seven different vets searching for an exotic doctor. Eventually, we were referred to a clinic in Martinez, where they gave her pain medication but didn’t have the staff to do X-rays. The vet explained that amputation would be the best option for her because of the clean break.

We will be using the funds donated to get her left hind leg amputated as soon as possible so she can recover and live comfortably. Thank you all who are able to donate to help us amputate momma bun. I can’t express how grateful I am to have support from others to help me in such a freak accident.
