Help mom to bring home son

My name is Shannon, and I am so desperate for help right now. My 19-year-old son, Dylan DeSean Harrison died needlessly last night at the Madison Parish Detention Center in Louisiana. Two years ago, Dylan was jumped by someone and wound up hitting the guy in the head with an axe in an act of self-defense. Even though this other guy was not even seriously injured and told the police himself that he had started the fight, they charged my son with attempted murder. I didn’t have money for a good lawyer, and his court appointed attorney convinced him to sign a 5-year charge for aggravated assault. Now he is dead. Someone has been trying to extort money from me for quite some time. When I reported it to prison officials, I was told by my son that he had been beaten for my refusal to pay and for reporting the incident. My son repeatedly told me they were going to kill him and that he needed protective custody. I reached out to everyone I could think of including senators and even the governor. No one would help me. Now my son is dead! I need money to bring my baby home, get an autopsy done in Texas, have a small memorial but more than that I need a lawyer. I am not looking to sue to make money. I want to help others in this same position not to be victimized like my son and me were. I understand that people are in prison because they make mistakes, but they are still entitled to be protected by the people PAID to protect them. Please help me bring Dylan home and help me to make his death make a difference.
