Help Mom Stand Again: MS Treatment Fund

My mom is an absolute hero... She was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis at the age of 19 and has been defying medical expectations since.

It's only been in the last few years that she's lost her mobility and has been fully confined to a wheelchair ever since. It's been nearly two years since we moved her in to live with Joey and me, and the one thing I know is that when she's able to care for herself with vitamins and nutrition, she thrives.

Recently, my mom was presented with an opportunity to receive a new medical treatment that can extend her quality of life where she may actually live long enough to see her grandson graduate high school.

These treatments have the potential to slow or decrease the rate of progression (which she is in secondary progressive MS), improve her sense of touch and vision, balance and range of motion, and so many more benefits in repairing the damage caused to the myelin sheath.

Her goal is to receive the treatment and then enter into therapy to get her legs back so she can stand again, possibly walk again. We're not looking to take walks around the block, but she'd like to get herself out of bed again, take herself to the bathroom, and give herself a shower again.

The medical team that has been working with her to get into the program informed her that she's been approved for the treatment THIS WEEKEND! That means I pack her up in our van, drive to Miami, and we stay in a hotel for two nights and three days. We need your help to get her there--any amount will get us closer to the amount we have to pay on Friday. Thank you for believing with us that she can be given another chance at a better life.

The funds raised will go towards the cost of the treatment and our travel expenses while at the facility.
