I'm starting this on behalf of my mom to help her with these expenses that she's now having to face. For those of you taking the time to read this, thank you. And if you are able to share and help raise any amount for her, thank you.

As of right now, my mom is fighting bilateral pneumonia and has been in the hospital for over a week. She's been on a ventilator for 8 days now to breathe for her due to her lack of ability to maintain her oxygen levels on her own.

During this time, she has developed septic shock, a staph infection in both lungs, and the doctors have found what they believe to be lung cancer. After today, my mom will be placed on a tracheostomy tube and a percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy so that she is able to be tube-fed and the machine is breathing for her in a more long-term fashion. She will also have to go into a long-term care facility for several weeks or months, depending on her condition. We are hoping for a full recovery and for her to wake up soon but we have no way of knowing. And right now, we are facing some very tough decisions for her treatment plan.

I know times are hard for many families, and believe me, this is not something we are expecting to get much from. We will be giving her all money raised to help her ensure her bills are covered. Overall, we just want things to be as easy as possible for our mom.
