Hello everyone. My mom’s house was washed away during the flood in her neighborhood on Big Sandy Dr. and Round Mountain Rd. in Leander around 3 a.m. on Saturday morning.

My sister and my mother’s boyfriend were in the house as it was washed away and were strong enough to hang on through the water current and being hit by debris. They were found and cared for by some wonderful neighbors who came down the hill at 4:30 a.m. to see if anyone needed help. We are blessed that they are recovering well and safe.

We know how lucky we are, even though my mom’s house and cars all washed away. If anyone is able to contribute to help them get back on their feet, it is greatly appreciated. Our family is one of the lucky ones, and our prayers are with everyone impacted by these floods.
