This year has been unimaginably hard for my mom, Laurie Martinez. In February, she suffered a devastating fall that left her with a broken spine and pelvis. After months of pain, surgery, and recovery, she was finally beginning to regain her strength. But just recently, she was in a serious rollover car accident. Thankfully, she came out mostly uninjured, but the crash left her without a vehicle and facing another overwhelming financial setback. To make matters worse, she doesn’t have gap insurance to help cover the loss.

My mom has always been the kind of person who gives everything she has to others. She’s spent her whole life sacrificing to take care of her kids, making sure we were safe, loved, and never went without, even when that meant she quietly did. She’s the strongest woman I know, but right now, she needs help getting back on her feet.

We’re hoping to raise funds to help her cover medical expenses, transportation costs, and basic needs while she recovers and rebuilds from these back-to-back tragedies.
