My mom, Jessica, is the strongest woman I know. She’s a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, auntie, and friend — someone who has always put others before herself. After suffering a severe medical crisis due to negligence, she’s now in the fight of her life, and we are fighting right alongside her.
We were told she would never open her eyes — but she did.
We were told she wouldn’t be able to focus — now she looks right at us when we speak or say her name.
They said she wouldn’t move — but she’s lifting her legs, moving her arms up to her chest, and turning her head to look around.
On her good days, she’s even starting to blink in response, and she makes soft sounds like she’s trying to talk. When we tell her “I love you,” she responds with a four-syllable sound that truly sounds like “I love you.”
She’s in there. She’s aware. She’s fighting — and she knows we’re here.
Her journey hasn’t been easy. She’s dealing with tracheotomy care, wound healing, and physical therapy, and there’s still a long road ahead. But she’s here. She’s still fighting. And we are doing everything we can to support her.
We’re asking for help to make sure my mom gets the care she needs and the justice she deserves. Donations will go directly toward her ongoing care, medical equipment, possible in-home nursing, and legal expenses. Every single dollar means one less thing we have to worry about, and one more step toward helping my mom heal with dignity.
If you can’t donate, please share this page. Your support — in any form — means everything to us.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart. ❤️
