Help mom of 4, Andrea Paul, stage 4 cancer battle
Donation protected
My name is Marie Lombardo. I have known Andrea for more than 16 years ( her mother and I met at a grief group following the death of Andrea’s father)
Starting in October 2022, Andrea consulted doctors, made multiple ER visits, and was hospitalized for ten days in November because of concerning symptoms ( fatigue, significant weight loss, anemia, bleeding, etc). Unfortunately, even with her symptoms, the doctors did not diagnose colon cancer until April 2023 when she was 32 weeks pregnant with her fourth child. The diagnosis has been devastating.
Her daughter, Marigold, was delivered four weeks early on May 1, 2023 in order for Andrea to begin her fight!
Andrea was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer which has spread to liver and right ovary, with nodules seen in both lungs, and an enlarged paratracheal lymph node.
After a colon perforation in May 2023, Andrea had emergency surgery to repair the colon and remove the right ovary.
Because of health delays, Andrea was not able to start chemo until five months after diagnosis( September 2023). she currently receives chemo every two weeks.
I am raising funds so I can help Andrea and her family ( children: Madeline, Max, Monty, and Marigold. and Andrea’s partner, Ryan) by easing the burden of this difficult journey as much as possible. There has been, and will continue to be numerous unexpected expenses related to the cancer. Cancer is expensive!
In addition to helping with these unexpected expenses, we want to give Andrea’s 4 children some special attention and experiences where they can forget about cancer for at least a little while.
Please assist me in helping this family during this difficult time.
Anything you can do will be appreciated.
Even if you can’t help financially , please help by sharing this fundraiser.
Please keep Andrea and her family in your thoughts and prayers.
Thank you!
( and please, if you have any symptoms that may indicate colon cancer, insist that your medical provider do thorough testing, even if you are young. Andrea had symptoms for many months, and we can’t help but wonder if things could have been different if diagnosed earlier.)
