Hello, my name is Kristen, and I am reaching out for help during a challenging time in my life. I very recently escaped from an abusive relationship, where my safety and the well-being of my 3 children were at risk. I am sharing my story here in the hope that compassionate individuals like you might be able to offer assistance.

On January 2, 2023 my husband head butt me full force in my head while I was holding our crying infant son in my arms resulting in breaking my nose & a deviated septum. Thankfully I have a camera in my living room and secretly saved the footage. In addition to suffering from physical abuse, I was emotionally, verbally, and financially abused. Over the past several months his demeanor changed drastically becoming more angry and aggressive for reasons unbeknownst to myself.

Last weekend when I asked if he regretted breaking my nose, he told me he regrets this entire relationship, and having our son. And told me he should break every bone in my body and put me in the hospital. And that moment I saw my life flash before my eyes and knew instantly it was time to get out for the safety of myself and my three precious babies.

I finally got the courage on Sunday, September 10, 2023 to take the baby and go to the police station explaining I am in immediate danger & in absolute fear for our safety. I was granted a temporary restraining order & temporary full custody.

He was the sole income source for our household. He wouldn’t allow me to work and now I am currently unable to afford even the most basic necessities for myself and my children. I am seeking financial support to help us rebuild our lives and provide a stable and safe environment for my babies.

In addition,my car needs around $2000 worth of work done to fix a problem with it leaking power steering fluid and needing all new tires etc. His car was the only family vehicle in working condition. As of now, I was given permission to use his vehicle temporarily however, I need to break free completely, and be able to get my car fixed to be safe enough to drive my three children in.

The funds raised will be used to provide basic necessities for my children. I need assistance with transportation costs for job interviews and daily expenses, including food and utilities. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference in our lives and bring us one step closer to rebuilding and regaining our independence.
