Help Mom & Newborn, Orphaned in Attacks on Israel

Hi, my name is Etelle, and I'm fundraising for my dear friend Shaylee Atary and her newborn daughter Shaya, victims of the Hamas terror attack on Israel.

They were a beautiful small family of three. Yahav, his disabled wife, Shaylee—both talented filmmakers—and their four-week-old baby girl Shaya. They woke up the morning of October 7th to a nightmare evoking the specter of the Holocaust or the worst horror film imaginable.

Hamas terrorists attacked the peaceful village they lived in (on undisputed Israeli territory), Kfar Aza. They came in with guns blazing, aiming to murder, maim, and burn any Jew they could find.

As the terrorists went through the village house by house, Yahav and Shaylee hid in a small safe room in their home. Until the baby's cries gave them away. Terrorists came climbing through the room's small window. Yahav stayed behind, holding the window closed against their onslaught, buying his wife and newborn child precious seconds to flee.

Yahav sacrificed his life to save his family. The terrorists murdered him as Shaylee, ran, their baby in her arms. For the next 27 hours, she hid and ran, outsmarting the terrorists hunting down survivors again and again. She survived against all odds, protecting the only piece of Yahav she had left.

Shaylee and Shaya have lost everything: Yahav, their home, and all of their belongings.

This donation has nothing to do with the support of the armed forces, the funds will allow us to strengthen the financial future of these women.
