On Feb 15, my mom suffered a traumatic injury when she fell head first into an industrial-size dumpster about 12 ft down. She was med-evacuated by helicopter 2 hours from my parents' house to Spokane. X-ray and MRI show she does have a broken neck (C-4 fracture), and she has a very long road to recovery. She has to stay in Spokane for probably 6 weeks until she can regain enough strength to be able to walk again. This will be a heavy financial strain on my parents. They have 3 dogs and a cat at home, and my dad will have to make multiple trips between the hospital and their house over the next weeks and months. They are on a fixed income and can't afford all the gas and other travel expenses. Against my dad's wishes, I thought setting up this GoFundMe would help ease the burden on their finances. They have enough to worry about with just getting my mom through an upcoming spinal surgery and recovery and physical therapy. This will be a long, long road for them.
