Our family is asking for help during a very difficult and unexpected time. My mom recently had surgery that required the placement of a colostomy bag, and her doctors have told her she will be unable to work for the foreseeable future while she heals. After the initial 8–10 week recovery period, she will also need an additional surgery, which means an even longer road before she can safely return to normal life.
Anyone who knows my mom knows how strong, caring, and hardworking she is. Not being able to work has been incredibly hard for her, but right now her focus needs to be on healing. We want to give her the chance to recover properly without the stress of worrying about how bills will be paid or feeling like she has to rush back to work before her body is ready.
More than anything, she just wants to get back to the things she loves most—especially being a hands-on Mimi to her grandson. Right now she doesn’t have the energy or strength she wishes she did, but we know that with time, rest, and the proper care, she can get back to being the loving, involved grandmother he knows.
If you’re able to donate, no matter the amount, it would help ease the financial burden during her recovery and allow her to focus on healing. If donating isn’t possible, sharing this page and keeping her in your thoughts and prayers would mean the world to our family.
I did set the fundraiser goal as low as possible because truly any contribution helps. The main priority is simply giving my mom the time and support she needs to recover without the stress of rushing back to work before she’s ready. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a meaningful difference for our family and is deeply appreciated. ❤️
Thank you for your kindness, support, and compassion during this time. We love you, Mom
