September 16 Corinne suffered a fall while visiting relatives in Minneapolis. The next day she suffered another fall while in Rochester, while keeping her daughter Natalie company on an unrelated appointment at Mayo. By the next day, Corinne was in immobilizing pain and she was unable to stand. We were very lucky that they were in the right place and mom was admitted to Mayo on the 18th with a cracked pelvic bone, internal bleeding, and very low sodium levels. The current prognosis is that she needs 24/7 care and needs professional medical transport from Rochester MN back to Fargo, and will be admitted into a rehab facility until she is able to regain strength and balance enough to walk again and return home .

We are raising funds to defray professional stretcher/wheelchair transportation back to Fargo, housing, and some medical needs, none of which are covered by Medicare or secondary insurance.

As many of you reading this are aware of, Corinne has battled many medical challenges in her life, including major scoliosis. In the past seven years, she has endured extraction of her original 1960's technology 50% spinal fusion hardware, which was replaced with 100% fusion with modern hardware, knee replacement, a minor stroke, fibromyalgia, and more. Its an incredible history of deep and extreme surgery and chronic pain. She's an extraordinarily strong person, and she isn't giving up.
