Help Mom Get a New Knee

Our mom, Diane Haynes a 13 year breast cancer survivor and 30+ year truckee local needs a knee replacement. In March 2020 when COVID hit, she was laid off from her job of 17 years. While she had planned to have the knee replacement done this year, by losing her job, she also lost her health insurance. On October 16th she landed herself in the emergency room due to complications with her knee.  She now can not walk and is using crutches. Due to her severe osteoarthritis the only option is a knee replacement. Unfortunately Medicare only covers part of her surgery, the expenses at this point are unknown. She already struggles with finances due to being unemployed. Please help us help her reduce the stress and financial burden. The money will be used to cover the costs associated with her knee replacement. She is set to meet with an orthopedic surgeon on 10/22
