Help My Mom Fight Multiple Sclerosis and Trigeminal Neuralgia
I’m reaching out with a heavy heart, seeking help for my mom who is battling multiple sclerosis (MS) and the excruciating effects of trigeminal neuralgia, a condition that has completely taken over her life.
Multiple sclerosis has already left her with debilitating symptoms, but recently, things have taken a devastating turn. She has developed trigeminal neuralgia, a condition that causes unbearable, shocking nerve pain in her face—pain so intense that she has screamed in agony and ended up in the ER six times in the past few weeks. This pain is constant and unpredictable, leaving her unable to function normally or find relief, despite the best efforts of her doctors.
The medications she is on to manage the pain and symptoms of MS are not without side effects. They’ve made it difficult for her to walk, causing her to lose her mobility and independence. Every day is a struggle for her, and watching her go through this has been heart-wrenching.
We’ve been advised that seeking a specialist’s care could offer some hope. There is a neurosurgeon in Omaha, Nebraska who may be able to offer treatment options to improve her quality of life and manage this pain, but getting there is a significant financial burden. Between medical bills, travel expenses, and hotel stays, the costs are overwhelming for our family.
That’s why I’m asking for your help. Your donations will go directly to cover:
- Travel costs for flights or driving expenses to Omaha
- Hotel accommodations for our stay while she receives treatment
- Medical bills and doctor’s fees that aren’t covered by insurance
- Essential treatments and medications to manage her symptoms
Any amount you can contribute, no matter how small, will make a huge difference. My mom is a kind, loving, and strong person, and seeing her endure this unimaginable pain has been heartbreaking. With your support, we hope to give her a chance at better care and a life that is not overshadowed by constant suffering.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generosity, support, and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.
With gratitude,
