On the evening of May 25th, 2024, tragedy struck in north Amarillo, TX, when a devastating fire completely destroyed the home of my aunt Celia Sanchez (a single mother) and her daughter, Mariela. In a matter of moments, everything they owned—clothes, personal items, and cherished memories—was lost.
