My mom has been struggling with heart rhythm issues since September 2025, when she was first diagnosed with atrial fibrillation with rapid ventricular rate after experiencing severe symptoms. Over the past several months, her condition has gradually worsened despite medications and ongoing care.
Recently, things took a frightening turn when her heart rate dropped dangerously low, causing dizziness, weakness, and confusion. She was admitted to the hospital, where doctors determined that the safest treatment is for her to receive a pacemaker this Tuesday to stabilize her heart rhythm and prevent further episodes.
My mom has always been incredibly strong and hardworking. She continues to work because she is the primary breadwinner in her household, supporting not only herself but also our 76-year-old father.
My dad has been through an extremely difficult year medically. He underwent major cervical spine surgeries in August and again in September of 2025, and he is still recovering from those procedures. In addition, he is currently facing possible cancer concerns and is living with early-onset dementia, which has made it impossible for him to work or contribute financially.
Because of this unexpected hospitalization and the recovery period after pacemaker surgery, my mom will not be able to work for several weeks. During this time, the loss of her income will make it extremely difficult to keep up with essential expenses such as:
• Mortgage
• Electricity and water
• Car insurance
• Groceries and gas
I am starting this fundraiser to help cover these basic needs while she focuses on healing and recovering from surgery.
The goal is simply to help relieve some of the financial stress so she can prioritize her health and return home safely without worrying about how the bills will be paid.
