Help Molly Rice get back on her feet

Hi everyone, as some of you may know, my mom suffered a life-changing fall in December. She was on her out out to work one morning and was going downstairs when she fell down approximately 17 stairs in the townhome she shared with a roommate at the time. Unfortunately, this previous roommate of hers had taken out the guardrail on the stairs in their home and failed to replace it.

Upon regaining consciousness, my mom was severely disoriented, concussed and unable to get up on her own. Hours passed before she was finally able to call for help. When I got to her, I called an ambulance that transported her to La Jolla Scripps ER where she remained in the trauma unit for almost a week before being transferred to an assisted living rehabilitation center for some time.
She had a black eye for weeks, had broken her hip, and sustained fractures to her pelvis and sacrum from the fall. As a result, she has been unable to work for the last 5 months nor has she been able to receive any form of disability insurance. To make matters worse, she is facing the risk of houselessness as the current owner of the townhome she lives in is rushing to put it up for sale despite knowing the condition my mother is in.

If you know my mom, you know that she has worked incredibly hard her entire life to provide for my brother Jake and I, giving us everything we ever needed. She is the most compassionate and loving person I have ever known and is constantly helping others-- both humans and animals. She loves being outdoors and living an active lifestyle which is why this recovery has been even more difficult for her as she is just learning how to walk again.
She is also the last person to ever ask for help which is why I am making this for her.

This campaign will go towards her recovery as well as rent and deposit for a new living arrangement in hopes that she is able to find one in time. All I want is for her to be able to get back on her feet and focus on the last phases of her recovery and physical therapy/rehabilitation without the weight of the housing and monetary stresses she has been experiencing.
