Molly is 34 years old and a single mom. She is also a nurse and one of our front line workers. She has been caring for not only her patients but her children Shae and Mekhi who is not even a year old yet. A week ago today she was admitted back to the hospital a second time. They did a biopsy on her liver and determined she needed a colonoscopy. Since then she has been diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer with metastatic to liver and surgery is not an option. She is on a very aggressive chemotherapy and will be limited on any activity, especially during a pandemic. These are her words:
At 34. You think you’re invincible. That you can handle anything. Do anything. You can’t! My world has been flipped upside down in the past few days. As much as I want to see a positive side. There really isn’t. I want to scream and cry most of the day but I don’t. I’m numb. I could sit here and say why me? But why does it happen to anyone? I want to see my daughter walk across the stage. I want to see my son grow up. But for now it’s “One day at a time”. That’s my new norm. Im going to be spending my time with the ones I love and who love me just as much. It’s time to fight like hell.
Please consider donating no matter what the amount. We appreciate anything as she is in the fight for her life. Please share
