Hi everyone. I have found out that I have a massive tumor in my uterus. It is the size of an infant and spreads from my hips to near my rib cage. I am unable to have a hysterectomy at this time as it is too large to attempt to cut out, the surgery could cause irreversible damage to my kidneys or intestines. The plan as of right now is to attempt to shrink it to allow for safer removal. I have had a biopsy and am awaiting the results.
I am starting this gofundme on the advice of a friend to raise a little money to help cover bills, gas and meals while I am being treated. Richard had moved to England to start our life over there but is having to put everything on hold to come home and care for me while I navigate this. For now I am unable to work and he is going to be taking time away from his new job while he is here. We are still selling the house to help with expenses but until then, things are going to be incredibly tight as we try to get through this financially. It is humbling and something I never expected. I appreciate anything you all can donate, even a pizza night for the kids or a couple bucks towards gas for the drives to UVA.
