Hey family and friends! I am in need of a life changing medical treatment.

As some of you know, I have a genetic condition that affects the integrity of my connective tissue. This causes hypermobility and frequent serious injuries. It also affects every organ in my body and is incredibly painful. Last year I was part of a medical trial for a new treatment for this condition and it WORKED! Prior to this trial, there was no known treatment for this condition. It was like night and day, I was able to live my life much more fully again and do things I hadn’t been able to in years. However, the trial ended a few months ago and as the effects have worn off I have become extremely debilitated again and am currently unable to walk, with injuries that will take a year to heal and a high possibility of other injuries happening while I am in that healing process.

The treatment from this trial is now available but is not currently covered by insurance. I found a place that offers this treatment but it is $3000. Being able to get this treatment will directly and radically improve my quality of life in so many ways, including enabling me to return to work full time which will help me afford this treatment in the future.
