On Sunday January 10th, the South Park San Diego casita that Molly, Paul, Apollo (3 years), Úna (7 months), Django and Pony live in burned down. Thankfully, Molly and family (including the kitties) were all in Arizona staying with Molly's mother for the holidays.

The family lost everything in the fire. We know that there will be no way to replace the memories or keepsakes, but in order to help Molly and her beautiful family we are raising funds to help them move into a new residence and to replace their essentials as soon as possible.

Molly's insurance would typically cover up to $15,000, but her insurance company is denying their full claim based on a technicality. We would like to raise the funds that Molly and family would need to get back on their feet after this devastating loss, including security deposit, first two-months of rent and the cost of household items and new furniture for bedrooms and common spaces. 

Friends of the family will also be setting up a registry of sorts for particular items that the family needs. These lists will be updated on this site as well as in Facebook (link to come soon). Those of you in the San Diego neighborhood who may be able to help with pick up and/or delivery of larger items, please message Sonja to coordinate.

THANK YOU to everyone who has donated and shared this gofundme. Molly and Paul are overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support that you all have shown them in their time of need. I have raised the goal amount to reflect not only the cost of getting the family into a new home, but to help further alleviate the stress of this extremely trying situation on Molly, Paul, Apollo, Úna, and the kitties. You have all really come together for this family in such an awful situation and they feel the love.
