Help Mollie Afford Medical Care!

As many of you know, our Mollie has struggled with various chronic illnesses and pain for nearly two decades, but you may not know the extent of the financial burden this has placed on her. Despite having health insurance, over the last few years alone Mollie has paid over $40,000 on appointments, surgeries, lab tests, and prescriptions, as well as paying back a $16,000 medical debt. Her savings are depleted and her chronic illness prevents her from being able to work full-time, making paying her medical bills even more difficult.

Mollie has been diagnosed with small fiber neuropathy, PCOS, hypothyroid, chronic fatigue, IBS, narcolepsy, fibromyalgia, and anxiety. Last year Mollie saw a neurologist who theorized she has an overarching neurology disorder causing her symptoms, but was unable to provide useful information about treatment. Increasingly she experiences new painful symptoms not covered by her current diagnoses. Not only are these new symptoms alarming and often debilitating, but without the correct, comprehensive diagnosis, Mollie is unable to apply for government disability payments.

Mollie needs a super doctor, and the good news is, she has found a promising candidate. This doctor is the only doctor in the state who specializes in rare and complex neurological disorders. For the first time, Mollie will be able to meet with a doctor who promises an hour and half long intake appointment, giving the appropriate time and attention to Mollie's extensive medical history and complex case.

We are asking for funding to send Mollie to the only specialist available for her uncommon chronic illnesses. The intake appointment is $2,200, and follow-ups are $500 each. We are hoping to raise $3,200 to cover the cost of the in-take and two follow-ups. Quality care could change Mollie's life.

Mollie has exhausted every other avenue. In her decades long medical journey, no one yet has given Mollie a comprehensive treatment plan.
