Help Mohannad and his family to survive in Gaza

My name is Mohannad, and I am 27 years old.

I am part of a loving family of 7, including my parents, whom I could lose at any moment. We currently live in refugee tents in Deir Al-Balah:

On October 7, 2023, we were forced to flee our home in Gaza Al-Bureij during an intense bombing campaign. We lost everything: our house, our belongings, and our dreams of a peaceful future.

This is our bombed house weeks ago and now it looks even worse than this picture:

We now live in constant fear, trapped in an area that feels as precarious as a minefield. The violent bombardments have not ceased, and escaping the dangers surrounding us is a daily challenge. Every day another building in our area gets bombed, and we never know if we are the next to get bombed.

The conflict has also taken its toll on our livelihood. My father, the primary breadwinner, has lost all his sources of income. We barely manage to secure our daily meals due to soaring prices and limited access to basic necessities.

Furthermore, the ongoing situation has disrupted education and I worry about the future of the younger members in my family, who may lose years of their educational journey.

أنا جزء من عائلة محبة مكونة من 7 أفراد، بما في ذلك والديّ، اللذان قد أفقدهما في أي لحظة. نحن نعيش حالياً في خيام للاجئين في دير البلح:

في 7 أكتوبر 2023، اضطررنا للفرار من منزلنا في البريج خلال حملة قصف عنيفة. لقد فقدنا كل شيء: منزلنا، ممتلكاتنا، وأحلامنا بمستقبل سلمي.

نعيش الآن في خوف دائم، محاصرين في منطقة تبدو خطرة كحقل ألغام. القصف العنيف لم يتوقف، والهروب من المخاطر التي تحيط بنا يمثل تحدياً يومياً. كل يوم يتم قصف مبنى آخر في منطقتنا، ولا نعرف أبداً إذا كنا القادمين للقصف.

الصراع أثر أيضاً على سبل عيشنا. والدي، العائل الرئيسي، فقد جميع مصادر دخله. نحن نكاد نحصل على وجباتنا اليومية بسبب ارتفاع الأسعار والوصول المحدود للضروريات الأساسية.

علاوة على ذلك، أثرت الأوضاع الجارية على التعليم وأنا قلق بشأن مستقبل الأعضاء الأصغر في عائلتي، الذين قد يخسرون سنوات من رحلتهم التعليمية.
