Help Muhammad and his family get to safety!

*UPDATE - 18TH APRIL 2024*

We have once again opened up this fundraiser for donations with the goal of evacuating Muhammad and his family from Rafah in the south of Gaza. Muhammad’s family members suffer from hepatitis, hearing loss, prostate disease, to name a few, and multiple family members have had to undergo expensive operations. The pressure on Muhammad is so immense that every day he considers taking his own life. Despite this, he has provided aid to his Palestinian neighbours, alongside being the sole breadwinner in the family right now.

Muhammad is a 26 year old from Gaza who for many years used to fundraise and provide aid to his community via his project, Smile Gaza . (@smile_gaza). Now, after almost 190 days of g*nocide, it is our turn to help him. Muhammad and his 26 family members have been continuously displaced and 9 of them are now trying to leave Gaza. They are being subjected to constant violence and terror, and now facing starvation. Like other Gazans they have struggled for many months to access clean water, food, and shelter. Due to the inflation that comes with this scarcity, the costs for Muhammad to secure travel for himself and his family are exorbitant. Please donate and share so that Muhammad, his wife, and extended family members can finally be safe.

Muhammad's SocialFund fundraiser was recently deleted and the funds returned to senders, so we have created this one to give Muhammad's family another chance to rebuild their lives.

Muhammad (26) and his siblings Ahmed (28), Obeida (24) , Abdalla (19) and Noor (15) have their whole life ahead of them, yet find themselves in a position no young person should be in. They are supporting the older members of their family, father Zyad, and their grandmother, while dealing with the physical and psychological toll of g*nocide.

The cost per person to leave Gaza is currently $5,000 (roughly £4,000) including all costs and transit coordination. We are setting the goal at £40,000 to allow Mohammed and his family to evacuate Gaza, as well as be able to survive the starvation and shortage of food and water in Gaza.
