I'm Ilse -- I live in Virginia, US, and I'm fundraising on behalf of Mohammed Mansour. His family's two homes in Gaza were bombed, and his business (a supermarket, his source of income) destroyed. Mohammed happened to be in Egypt when the bombing of Gaza began, and has been unable to reunite with his family since. He and his family are appealing to the international community to raise funds to rebuild their lives.

His message in his own words below:

Dear friends,

Hello, my name is Mohammed Mansour, a Palestinian from Gaza. I am 22 years old and my future has been ruined. I was affected by the war, and my 5-story house was destroyed, the first floor was damaged, and the first floor is visible in the pictures. Our second house was partially destroyed, as was my supermarket. Here are some pictures and videos of my two homes, my supermarket, and my source of livelihood. Some of my relatives were martyred. I want to get help to rebuild my house and my supermarket, and I want to rebuild my house that was destroyed by ... The war on Gaza is the last war since October 7, and as most of you know, Gaza is completely under rubble. There is no electricity, shelter, food, or any basic needs anyone needs on a daily basis.

The neighborhood I grew up in has been completely wiped off the face of the earth... All memories of these beautiful places will always be just a memory. I also lost my city, my neighborhood with all its sounds, smells, sights, and memories... and the only thing I still have is my family. I have lost everything I have and I am appealing to the international community.

But I did not give up, I wanted to rebuild again with your support and solidarity. I launched this campaign to restore hope for myself and my family. Let's rebuild our lives, and make a living again.
