Mohammed comes from a family of nine: his mother, five sisters (two of whom are married), and two brothers. His father passed away after a long battle with cancer, a fight made even harder because he could not access the treatment he needed. Losing his father was heartbreaking, but it also left Mohammed as the sole provider for his family. In a place where opportunities are almost nonexistent, he works tirelessly to keep them safe and fed.

Life in Gaza is beyond difficult. The ongoing war has destroyed homes, shattered lives, and left families like Mohammed’s with no sense of security. Basic necessities—clean water, electricity, medical care—are luxuries. Jobs are scarce, and every day is a struggle for survival. Leaving Gaza is very difficult. It requires permits, travel arrangements, and significant funds—things that are nearly impossible to obtain without outside help. Mohammed shoulders this burden with courage, but he dreams of more than survival. He dreams of safety, freedom, and a future where his family can live without fear. He wants to leave Gaza and start a new life—a life where he can work, provide for his loved ones, and help them rebuild.
