Help Mohammed’s Family Escape the War in Gaza – Every Second Counts
A Father’s Plea to Save His Family – Let’s Give Them a Chance to Live in Peace
My name is Mohammed Mousa, I’m a 39-year-old teacher of technology from Gaza. Like many Palestinians, I built my life around education, hope, and the dream of raising my family in safety. I’m married to Haneen Hamdi, a 32-year-old English teacher who shares the same passion for teaching and building a better future. Together, we have one precious child — our son Omar, who is just 4 years old. He is the light of our lives, born after four years of marriage and medical treatment.
But all our dreams were shattered in October 2024.
The war in Gaza has devastated every aspect of our lives. We lost our home in Gaza City in the very first month of the war. We were forced to flee to Deir Al-Balah, where we now live in a makeshift tent on my wife’s uncle’s land — without safety, without stability, and without the basic necessities of life.
We are grieving the unimaginable loss of over 33 members of our extended family, who were killed in the war. The pain is too heavy to describe. Alongside our grief, we struggle daily to survive hunger, thirst, extreme cold in winter, unbearable heat in summer, and the constant fear that we might not wake up tomorrow.
Both Haneen and I lost our jobs as teachers. Our once-bright future as educators and parents was reduced to mere survival. Life in Gaza is no longer life — it is a continuous fight against starvation, trauma, and despair, with no access to clean water, stable electricity, or medical care. We live under siege. We live under fear. And worst of all, our son Omar is growing up in a world where childhood no longer exists.
This is why we are reaching out — with heavy hearts and open hands — asking for your help to raise enough funds to escape this war and give our child a life filled with peace, safety, and opportunity. We don’t want to leave because we’ve given up — we want to leave because we still believe in life, and because we want to rebuild somewhere safe, where Omar can run freely without the sound of bombs over his head.
Your donation, no matter how small, can be the turning point in our lives. It can be the reason Omar grows up knowing hope, not horror. It can be the reason we get to live — not just survive.
Please don’t read this as just another tragic story. Read it as a chance to stop a tragedy from growing, and to be part of saving a family that still dares to dream. If you can't donate, please share this message with anyone who can.
We are not asking for luxury — we are asking for survival. We are asking for life.
With all our hearts,
Mohammed, Haneen, and little Omar
