Hello, my name is Mohammed, and I’m a father of three beautiful children living in the Gaza Strip, where life has turned into a nightmare for over a year and a half under the weight of a relentless war.

Before the war, I worked as a taxi driver. It wasn’t much, but it was enough to support my wife and our children:

Ismail, 14 years old,

Abdul Hadi, 12 years old, and

our little sweetheart, Nisreen, who is just 7.

We had a simple but peaceful life. I worked every day to put food on the table, pay for my children’s school supplies, and build a small future full of love and security for my family. But everything changed.

Our home was destroyed, our car was obliterated, and with it, our only source of income vanished. We lost not just material things, but our dreams, our comfort, and our sense of safety.

Now, we live in a tent on the side of the road, exposed to the elements and to the danger of ongoing airstrikes. We've been displaced more than ten times, running from bombs, hiding from death, and trying to shield our children from the trauma they are too young to understand. There's no school, no play, no peace only fear and survival.

To make things worse, my wife suffers from osteoporosis, and her medication is both expensive and mostly unavailable in local hospitals. The only option is buying it from pharmacies, but I cannot afford it anymore. It breaks my heart to watch her suffer while I can do nothing.

Prices for food, water, and basic necessities have skyrocketed. War profiteers exploit desperate families like mine. I can't even buy milk for my daughter or shoes for my sons.

Still, we hold on to hope. Hope that kind people around the world will hear our cry. Hope that one day, our children can smile again, feel safe again, and live the childhood they deserve.
