Hi, my name is Katrina. My friend Mohammed contacted me asking for help. Here is his story:
"I am Mohammed Hammad from Gaza (Palestine), married and have a daughter named Sarah (2 years old) and a six-month-old baby named Khaled who was born in the war in difficult health conditions. I am writing this after much thought and hesitation, but the urgent need to save my family is greater than my ability to withstand. I am desperately asking for your generous support to help me.
I have now reached a point where I feel hopeless and desperately need to save my family's life as there is no safe place in Gaza due to the slow death from hunger and the astronomical rise in prices due to the closure of the crossings, drought, displacement, the spread of diseases and the continuous bombing. My family has been displaced three times in the shadow of the war and the weather is cold and rainy. It has been a year and two months of an unbearable and unimaginable war of extermination and our health and lives are in constant danger.
My family and I live in a state of chaos, destruction and struggle to rebuild our lives every day. Our lives have become more difficult since everything in Gaza was destroyed. We struggle every day and try but we will not stop!
We lack basic necessities such as repairing The damage to our home during the war, healthy food, clean water, and the children's needs of diapers and milk, as well as providing an alternative energy system of solar panels and batteries to help us in the absence of electricity.
The meager food rations we receive are far from nutritious. This makes every day an unrelenting struggle.
Despite these difficulties, my love for my family keeps me going. But I need help to improve my living conditions and my family's, the support of the international community is crucial. Your generosity, no matter how small, can make a huge difference in our lives!!
When survival often seems like an impossible task. With your support, there is hope. Please consider donating to help me and others like me receive the care we need and find some comfort in the darkness."
Thank you for your compassion and support, standing with us in solidarity and making a positive impact in the lives of those affected.
