Mohammed is sick. Very sick.

He has been battling thyroid cancer for several years now, as you can see in the provided medical document. Originally from a small farming town in the eastern Khan Youis region, he's now displaced in a tent with his family.

He, more than most, NEEDS healthy food. If he cannot access vegetables (as opposed to the bare minimum - rice or lentils - then the cancer will ravage his body that much faster.

The time to act is NOW. You (yes, you, reading this) have agency and power - do NOT sink into helplessness and despair! Together we can collectively help prolong Mohammed's life. His family needs him.

Donating ANY AMOUNT is helpful. It all adds up. The vast majority of donations for grassroots movements / mutual aid are $20 or less. Please do not fall victim to the bystander effect by assuming others will donate.

He is depending on us for his and his family's survival--food, shelter, water, medicine, and supplies. Do not underestimate the impact your donation can have for them--it may be the difference between securing a bag of flour, or not...affording nylon tarps to keep the rain out of their tent, or not...

They were displaced countless times. Exhausting is not a strong enough word to describe displacement. Scrambling to pack their remaining belongings into a vehicle (if they have the money) or carrying what little they can on their backs, they usually flee under immediate threat of bombardment or gunfire.

And now that it is approaching summer, there are sweltering temperatures, swarms of insects, and rampant infections. There is no sewage system. Unfortunately, they don't have sufficient clothes either. This puts them at a huge risk of illness, which can be expensive--or even deadly--down the line. Mohammed must NOT get another illness on top of his cancer. His body cannot handle it.

They struggle to remain stable--I won't even use the word "healthy" because this is impossible. Whether it's respiratory problems from cooking over an open flame each day, the lack of sleep due to heat and fear, the starvation, or the lack of sanitation that causes diseases -- they are fighting for their lives every moment. The ONLY thing that can improve our conditions right now is funding.

They need us to show up for them, to stand with us now--in their darkest moment.
