My name is Mohammed Abu Shaar, a 31-year-old father from Jabalia Refugee Camp in northern Gaza. Today, I live in a fragile tent in Mawasi Khan Younis, after being forcibly displaced when our home was completely destroyed in the war.

Nothing could have prepared me for the pain, loss, and devastation that followed.

The Day Everything Changed

During an airstrike on a residential building in Jabalia, I was buried under the rubble. I survived — but with serious injuries that still require ongoing medical treatment several times a week.

But the physical pain is nothing compared to what came next.

On March 17, 2024, my entire world collapsed.
In a single moment, I lost my beautiful wife Raja and our three precious children:

  • Abdul Aziz (7 years old)

  • Tariq (5 years old)

  • Sanad (2 months old)

They were seeking safety in Deir al-Balah when an airstrike hit the building they were sheltering in.
I never got the chance to hold baby Sanad alive. I never heard his cry, never saw his eyes open. This pain will stay with me forever.

A Family Shattered

My mother, Intisar, was holding baby Sanad in her arms the day he was killed — an image that haunts me every night.

She now suffers from:

  • Severe nerve problems

  • Thyroid disease

  • Weak eyesight

  • Chronic pain and exhaustion

As if our grief wasn’t heavy enough, my brother disappeared six months ago under enforced disappearance, and we still have no answers.

⛺ Living in a Tent With No Shelter, No Safety, No Essentials

Our homes in Jabalia, near the Indonesian Hospital, are now nothing but rubble. We have no house, no belongings, no stability.

We sleep in a simple tent near the seashore, exposed to:

  • Cold nights

  • Rain and harsh winds

  • Hunger

  • Lack of clean water

  • No medical supplies

  • No electricity

  • With winter approaching, our situation is becoming even more dangerous.

Why I Am Asking for Help

After losing my wife, my children, my home, and my health, all I hope for is a chance to survive with dignity — and to keep my mother alive and safe.

Your donations will help provide:
✅ Urgent medical treatment for my injuries
✅ Medicine and care for my mother
✅ Safe shelter to protect us from the winter cold
✅ Food and clean water
✅ Basic necessities to rebuild our lives

Even the smallest contribution can help us survive another day.

A Message From My Heart

Despite everything, we still carry peace and hope in our hearts.
War took my family, but it did not take my humanity.

Today, I am simply asking for the chance to rebuild from nothing — to have a roof over our heads, medicine to survive, and food to eat.

If you cannot donate, please share this campaign. Every share brings us one step closer to safety.

From the depths of my heart,
Thank you for standing with us.
