Hi, my name is Chaima El Abbassi, and I’m organizing this fundraiser for Mohamed, a 21 year old resident of Gaza, where his city has been under destruction for almost 2 years of war.

Mohamed reached out to me personally, asking for a new GoFundMe campaign because of the extreme rise in living costs and the high transfer fees that take up to 50% of the money he receives. He and his family are in urgent need of help. They face hunger daily — a single bag of flour now costs them up to $300, and even basic vegetables like onions and tomatoes are nearly unaffordable.

On top of this, Mohamed’s brother suffers from a hand disability and a war injury to his foot, further worsening their already unbearable circumstances. Mohamed is also responsible for caring for several orphaned children who are living in tents, adding to the immense burden he carries.
