Mohammed is 14 years old—brave, determined, and full of life—but his body bears the scars of unimaginable violence that no child should endure. He is a courageous boy who suffers from a serious spinal fracture sustained during the genocide in Gaza.
Despite his young age, Mohammed courageously protected his three younger siblings during relentless forced displacement orders, keeping them safe through the bombing of their home and the destruction of everything he knew. In his struggle to protect his family by making long and life-threatening journeys to seek food and shelter for them, he was gravely injured and now urgently needs medical care for his spinal injury. He cannot receive the care he needs at home, as Gaza’s medical system has been systematically destroyed.
Every day without treatment puts his future at risk.
Mohammed’s family—six in total—survived the horrors of genocide. They have endured loss, danger, and fear, yet their hope remains unbroken. After tireless efforts by the family and a dedicated volunteer team of healthcare providers, they have finally received their visas to come to Canada for the urgent medical care Mohammed needs. Everything is ready for their arrival, and Mohammed can receive the urgent medical care he needs upon landing.
Time is critical. Days count. Mohammed cannot wait any longer, and our goal is to have him here this month (December 2025).
We are raising funds for 7 airline tickets:
- 6 tickets from Cairo to Toronto for the family, and
- 1 roundtrip ticket for a medical companion to accompany Mohammed and manage his safety on the trip
Every donation brings Mohammed one step closer to urgently-needed treatment.
As a child from Gaza, Mohammed carries with him the hopes and dreams of all the children who could not be saved. He dreams of returning to school, has a deep love for caring for animals, and is one of the only survivors of his youth soccer team. Let us come together to give Mohammed the opportunity every child deserves—to live in freedom, dignity, and hope.
Please donate today—every moment counts for Mohammed.
Any funds raised beyond the cost of airfare will go directly toward essential medical supplies and vital settlement supports to help this family begin their new life with dignity and stability.
