Help Mohammed Fahad Kasim Achieve His College Dream
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Mohammed Fahad Kasim.
I’m a student living in Florida for the past 3 years, currently completing my 12th-grade graduation from Okeechobee High School. I’m proud to share that I’ve been accepted into the University of South Florida (USF), a step that brings me closer to achieving my dream of higher education in the U.S.
But I need your help.
Even though I’ve lived in Florida for years, I am still classified as an international student and do not qualify for in-state tuition, Bright Futures scholarships, or FAFSA financial aid. The cost of attending USF as an international student is overwhelming — and I’m asking for support to raise $70,000, the bare minimum I need to start my college education.
Since childhood, I have strived not only for academic excellence but also for holistic personal growth. I was honored with the proficiency prize for five consecutive years, recognizing my consistent top performance in school. My passion for learning extends beyond the classroom—I have actively participated in and won awards in poetry, speech, debate, and quiz competitions, experiences that have sharpened my communication and critical thinking skills. My academic dedication is further reflected in my unweighted GPA of 3.91 and a weighted GPA of 4.6 out of 5.0, achieved through a rigorous and challenging curriculum. Additionally, I am fully certified in most Adobe Creative Suite platforms and WordPress, equipping me with valuable technical and creative skills that I plan to use professionally in the future.
I lost my father when I was six years old, and since then, my mother has been the only parent raising me. She’s worked tirelessly to keep us going — and now I’m doing my part too, working part-time at Zaxby’s to help with rent, bills, and other expenses. Despite all our efforts — applying for loans, scholarships, and aid — we’ve hit a wall.
Education means everything to me. I’ve worked hard in school, and this opportunity is something I’ve dreamed of for years. But now I face the possibility of not being able to attend due to financial barriers I have no control over.
If you believe in the power of education, in the strength of single mothers, or in helping someone who’s trying his very best — I humbly ask you to consider donating and sharing this campaign.
Every dollar helps me move one step closer to a better future. Thank you for taking the time to read my story.
With gratitude,
Mohammed Fahad Kasim
