Help Mohammed, Mai and their family through the war in Gaza
Donation protected
Meet Mai and her family.
Mai is a sweet little girl, born in a Northern city in Gaza. Because of the war, she had to move to the Al-Bureij Camp, together with her parents, uncles and aunts. She is born in 2020 and now 4 years old.

How do I know Mai?
I am Sharon Kromotaroeno (living in Deventer) and as a freelance documentary maker/journalist I was in the West Bank 5 years ago and I got to know the people there. That's how I came across Mohammed (the uncle of Mai).

What does her situation look like?
Mai lives with her family in a tent camp in Al-Bureij. Their house in northern Gaza in Shuja'iyya has been completely destroyed. Despite the help available from NGOs, the situation is dire in the camp. They lost all their possessions due to the war. And at the moment it is very cold in the winter and due to a storm their tent is broken.

What can help Mai and her family?
The prices of all basic amenities (food, clothing, water) have become sky-high. For example, 25 kilos of bread flour costs 100 dollars. In order to survive, people need money. Without money, no food.
