Help Mohammed And His Family To Survive The Crisis

From the nonexistent to be unfortunately born in a graveyard called Gaza.

Hello world,

I’m Mohammed Namara, a Computer Science senior and I’m 23 years old from Gaza. I live with my family in Gaza, my family contains my father, mother, two brothers, and two sisters.

Gaza was a beautiful place despite being under siege forever, it was something spiritually close to every Palestinian’s heart, and I’ve got so many memories that connected my soul to it.

In a society full of life and energy,

I loved being an active member, giving words on stages here and there, and being a part of many other events that were done by different institutions.

Along with my university education as a Computer Science senior student, it’s the type of study I felt I belonged to, and I was excited because Gaza was evolving quickly towards a great direction into programming and developing.

Life was great.

Until ...

We woke up on the 7th of October 2023 to find ourselves in a cruel non-ending war, in which we were kicked out of our home by force to the streets with no destination to head to, leaving all our memories and lives behind.

We survived and endured many wars in this city that never saw peace, including the War of 2008, the War of 2012, the War of 2014, and the War of 2021. However, the current war is much worse and more inhuman than ever.

After we were displaced from our house in Gaza City, we went to Al-Nuseirat Refugee Camp, located a little bit far from the city. We thought we were safe until they started bombing the camp aggressively which led all the people to evacuate immediately.

We were displaced again to a Refugee Camp called "Deir al Balah" where we stayed in an unbearable place, in rainy cold weather and a shortage of food and water.

In addition, most people in Gaza have lost their homes and businesses due to the destruction of more than 90% of Gaza’s warehouses including my family.

During the 3rd month of the War, we started running out of essential medications for which I was in need.

Accordingly, my family started thinking about my medical situation seriously, since I‘m not allowed to stop my medication under any circumstances.

Although it’s hard and painful for me to leave my beloved people in such cruel circumstances, my family has decided that We can’t stay any longer in Gaza, because I need to continue my medication and Education abroad and for my family to have a chance of living peacefully. Unfortunately, it’s not that easy for us to get out of here, it costs lots of money to just cross the border to Egypt! So, my friends decided to help me raise this fundraiser for us to collect the funds to evacuate.

I never imagined myself telling my story in public, but such circumstances left me hopeless.

The funds that will kindly be donated from everyone will be used towards supporting Mohammed and his family, and towards their evacuation out of Gaza, one by one. Starting with evacuating Mohammed; due to his desperate need to seek the medical assistance he urgently needs, then the rest of the family to Egypt. Eventually whatever is left from the funds would be used towards assisting them in their survival journey in Egypt, since there is no income source for him and his family.
