Help me to evacuate my family out of Gaza

My name is Dr. Mohammed Harara from Gaza (Palestine), I am writing this after lots of thoughts and hesitation. But the urgency and need to rescue my family is greater than my resilience. I am desperately seeking your generous support to help me evacuate my family (parents, 2 sisters and 2 brothers) from Gaza. I will remain in Gaza meanwhile to help my people.

I worked in Al Shifa hospital and I was among the last ones to evacuate it, I’ve been volunteering in the different remaining hospital since then in Khan Yunis. I am dedicated to stay here and save lives in Gaza, but now I’ve come to a point where I’m desperate and I URGENTLY and humbly ask you to help me save my family’s life by getting them out of Gaza since there’s no SAFE place in Gaza due to slow deaths by hunger, dehydration, displacement, the spreading of illnesses and and the ongoing bombings. Choosing to leave is a very painful decision to make, but the situation has become untenable.

We are now homeless like many others due to the ongoing bombings in Gaza since October 7th. My family was displaced 8 times and since I didn’t want to flee to the south with them and leave all those injured patients behind, I’ve decided to stay and volunteer in the hospital while not being sure if they made it safely to the south or if I’d ever hear from them again.

Due to the lack of communication, I was only able to find them after over a month of searching from refugee camp to another and from tent to tent, but thank God I was able to find them about 2 weeks ago. They now stay in a tent somewhere in Rafah in completely inhuman conditions, they’re running out of food, there’s no electricity, no water, no toilet and the weather is cold and rainy.

I’m currently volunteering at Al Nasser hospital in Khan Yunis and the journey to Rafah is not easy (no transportation, hours of walking with high risk of been shot or bombed) but I try to reach them every 10 days to ensure they are still ALIVE because there’s no communication and E-sims don’t work in that area.

It’s been 3 months of hell and horror. This genocide has been too long to bear, and our mental health and lives are in constant danger. (I can’t describe enough what I have been dealing with daily in the hospitals for the past 90 days or so, I lost count). We have reached a point where there is no hope left for us here in Gaza where we are unfortunately just waiting for our turn to die and even if there is a ceasefire, the destruction in Gaza is beyond prompt repair.

To cross “Rafah” Gaza-Egypt Borders your need to have your name listed in the Crossing List (paid permit) and coordinators in Egypt who have the power to add my family’s names to the list at the border are now asking for anywhere from $7-8,000 per PERSON! They will not add the names until we can prove we have the money ready.

Being the oldest of the family, I won’t be able to live with myself if something will happen to my family and I didn’t do everything in my power to get them out.

Please help me get them out, I will sincerely appreciate any donation, even small ones that will make a significant difference in alleviating our suffering. We are hoping to raise $54,500. The proceeds of this fundraiser will go to an account managed by me.

Your generous contributions will go towards the following:

$42,000 for the Rafah Crossing permit.

$7,000 x 6 people: my family (I will, not leave Ga.za just yet).

$500 for the fees of travel and transportation from Gaza to Egypt.

$10,000 will go towards shelter/house rental in Egypt, resettling, buying clothes, urgent healthcare, and other humanitarian needs for a few months up to 1 year.
