Help Mohammed and His Family Survive Crisis

Hello, my name is Mohammed, and I am a sixth-year medical student from Gaza.

While I’ve lived under siege my whole life, I survived the current and conflict and violence for four months and it was the scariest time of my life. Along with my dear parents, sister, and elderly grandparents, we lost everything. Our house and entire neighborhood were destroyed and we were displaced three times from where we were sheltering.

But then, thanks to the support of friends and family, I was able to escape to Egypt and make my way to Turkey where I was given a full scholarship to continue my medical studies. Now I am here in Istanbul.
While my tuition fees are fortunately covered, I am faced with the challenge of covering my accommodation and living expenses here in Turkey. This financial burden is immense as I’m in a new city with no resources, and am both trying to focus on my studies while needing to figure out how to just survive.
Additionally, my family remains in Gaza amidst the ongoing crisis which is getting worse every day. As the eldest, I want to help take care of my family members who are sick and elderly. I’ve never seen my grandmother so scared and I watch helplessly as those around me lose hope. It is breaking my heart to see them suffer, and I want to do everything I can to get them funds for water, food, and medical supplies.
So I am starting this fundraiser with a humble goal—to raise enough money to cover my monthly living expenses and provide some emergency assistance to my family in Gaza. Every contribution, no matter how small, will help me keep fighting for my future and my family’s survival.
Together, I believe this is possible—thank you for your kindness and support.
How You Can Help:
1. Donate: Any amount will make a huge difference in my life and the life of my family—$5, $10, $20 or more.
2. Share: Please share my story with your network to help me reach more people—share on your social media, text or email it to two friends.
Thank you so much. It means the world to me and my family during this difficult time.
With gratitude,
Mohammed
