We reach out to you today as a family from Gaza carrying both pain and hope in our hearts.

Our story is not an easy one, but sharing it has become the only way to protect the life of our little daughter — 13-year-old Sidal Al-Hayek.

A child who should have been enjoying school, play, and laughter… yet today she is fighting an illness that has taken away everything, even the simplest joys of childhood.

Sidal suffers from severe cerebral atrophy in the front part of her brain, which has caused complete paralysis.

She cannot move, speak, or understand, and she relies on us for every moment of her life: eating, cleanliness, sitting, and even sleeping.

On top of this, she experiences strong and dangerous seizures that require daily neurological medications—medications that are expensive and essential for her stability. Any interruption puts her life at serious risk.

We are a family of six members trying our best to care for our daughter with extremely limited means.

Both her mother and father are elderly and unable to work or provide a stable income, and everything we have goes toward Sidal’s care.

With four other children at home, the burden has become far greater than what we can carry alone.

Sidal urgently needs:

Daily neurological medications

Intensive physical therapy to prevent further deterioration

Diapers and essential daily care supplies

A specialized medical wheelchair for safe positioning

Regular medical check-ups and follow-ups

Home care equipment and medical necessities

Preparation for spinal procedures due to severe muscle weakness

In addition to her medical needs, our family must secure the minimum essentials to be able to care for her, including:

Monthly rent

Food and basic groceries

Clothing and essentials for the children

Transportation for medical appointments
