Help Mohamed Sesay reach his dream of studying dance @ Milan
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Mohamed Sesay, but my friends call me Kanchor. I’m a 24 years old dancer from Sierra Leone and I'm currently living and working in The Gambia. Dance is my passion and now I have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to take my talent to a next level!
Recently, I was awarded a three-year scholarship from the EurAsia Dance Project to study Hiphop at the DanceHaus HipHop Department in Milan (Italy) starting at October 2025. This scholarship is a dream coming true, but I need your help to make it a reality.
This scholarship is my chance to break the cycle of poverty and become the professional dancer and choreographer I’ve always dreamed of. Unfortunately, the scholarship only covers 30% of my tuition fees. To take this opportunity, I need to raise €20.000 by October 2025.
Here’s how the funds will be used:
- €3.290: Tuition fees (for the first year to secure my spot)
- +/- €700: Flight to Milan
- +/- €500: Visa application in Dakar (Senegal) and for the required documents
- +/- €9.600: Living expenses (which is +/- €800 a month)
- +/- €3.200: Traveling costs to reach school by public transport (€20 a day x 4 days a week x 40 weeks a year)
- +/- €2.400: Food/drinks (+/- €200 a month)
To be able to meet the European Union's requirements, I must prove that I’m able to financially support myself. I need to show this amount of money, since I am not allowed to work on a student visa for the first year. My plan is after the first year, to immediately start working to cover the other costs for the second and third year myself.
But to be able to even start the first year, I'm in need of your help. Your donation will bring me one step closer to Milan and one step closer to my dream. Thank you for believing in me and helping me write this new chapter in my life.
With love and gratitude,
Kanchor
