Hi, my name is Amy, and I’m fundraising for my sweet guinea pig, Moe . He isn’t just a pet he’s family.

Recently, Moe became very sick. He stopped eating properly, lost weight, fecal matter went from normal to diarrhea and was clearly in pain. After rushing him to the vet on sept 26th, we learned he has severe dental disease. Moe’s dental disease is severe. His front teeth have grown in a crooked way that makes it very hard for him to chew. Even worse, his back molars are shifting and starting to meet in a way that blocks food from passing properly down his throat. If left untreated, they will eventually close off his tongue and completely stop him from eating.

This is life-threatening for guinea pigs, who need to eat constantly to survive. Surgery under anesthesia is the only option to give Moe a chance at recovery.

What’s Happened So Far

Emergency vet visit at Animal Hospital of High Park

Today’s (Sept 26th) vet bill came to $850.12 (after deposit & tax), which I’ve already paid with my lovely boyfriend’s help.

But Moe still isn’t out of danger ‼️. His vet says he needs full dental surgery as soon as possible.

The Costs

Any extra donations will go toward follow-up care, medications, and his recovery

I’m a full-time student, and these bills are far beyond what I can manage on my own. Moe means everything to me, and I want to give him the happy, healthy life he deserves.
