Update as of April 4, 2026
Moe finally feels safe enough to sleep...
Moe has been quietly rehabilitating and healing behind the scenes.
Thanks to the community, we've raised $455 and was able to pay for labwork! Great news, no systemic disease (just proof of severe starvation).
He is now on a prescription diet (Royal Canin Gastrointestinal High Fiber) gained 6 pounds and now has normal stool ❤️
His body tells the story… bones, sores, exhaustion. But even after everything…
he didn’t shut down. He didn’t lose his trust.
He still chooses love.
Please see side by side collage of him healthy and happy at the shelter Dec 2025 vs the heart breaking photo of him as of this week. His spirit is broken, but his heart is wide open.
He currently has an amazing foster and we are continuing to raise money for his recovery, which goes toward his prescription food, follow up rechecks, meds, and helping him gain back the strength he lost.
He didn’t give up on people.
Please don’t give up on him.
He deserved better then.
Let’s give it to him now.

Meet Moe. He doesn’t understand why his world changed so suddenly—he just knows he’s trying to be brave. Moe has the kind of eyes that stop you, quietly asking, “Am I safe now?” The truth is, he’s still waiting for that answer. He’s gentle and soft, leaning into you like he’s been missing this his whole life. Not loud or demanding, just… hopeful.
Moe was found malnourished and in extreme heat after being thrown out of a car. Despite being adopted from a shelter in December 2025, he is now skin and bones and needs urgent help. Right now, Moe doesn’t need perfect or forever—he just needs someone to give him a place to land, a quiet space, a soft voice, and a little patience. Even two weeks could change everything for him. Dogs like Moe never forget the ones who show them kindness when they need it most.
Funds raised will go toward Moe’s vet care, gastrointestinal prescription diet, medications, bloodwork, toys, and a comfortable bed to help him recover and feel safe. I just want to say thank you—from the bottom of my heart—to everyone who has supported Moe, shared his story, and advocated so fiercely for him. It takes a village to save a life, and the love this community has shown him has been overwhelming in the best way. Because of you, he’s being seen, he’s being given a chance, and he’s no longer invisible. Thank you for caring. Thank you for showing up. And thank you for being part of his journey.
