For anyone who doesn’t know me- my name is Ty Dunkovich and I started Modern Simplicity catering and charcuterie 2 years and 4 months ago. The community and my customers have welcomed me tremendously and helped me grow to the platform I’m aiming toward today! For the past years we’ve worked to make graduation parties, weddings, showers, birthdays parties etc so deliciously special and have truly given it all of our love! We’ve raised funds for domestic violence victims, children in homeless shelters, the police, the firefighters, local sports teams and more and have always been committed to giving back as much as we possibly can. It is with a grateful heart that we now turn to the community and ask for some support. We are overjoyed to announce we have signed a lease and will be renovating a spot in Upper St. Clair where our customers can walk in to pick up trays, grab lunch to go, enjoy freshly baked bread and other locally made goods. As this decision has come quickly and a bit unexpectedly we are asking for any donation to help us get up and running. A large portion of our money raised will be purchasing equipment for a young bread baker to call this place his own as well. As a recent culinary school of New York graduate and son of a disabled veteran we’d love to help him establish himself on our baking side. We also have several start up fees that we know with our community behind us we can conquer. We chose go fund me as our platform because although there are other crowdfunding websites designed for restaurant start ups they made it more difficult for the donor- higher rates, set amounts etc and we want this to be a less pressured easy process. Please know from the day we made our introductory post til this moment we are so deeply grateful for every single customer who we have served and we look forward to taking the next step.
