Hi friends,

This is for my best friend, road dog, and my guardian angel through very rough times. She’s my 5-year-old Frenchie mix.

Earlier this year, she had surgery that left scar tissue along her intestines and stomach. We didn’t know how bad it was until this week, when that scar tissue ended up killing about 30 to 40 percent of her intestines.

On Monday, she started vomiting, and by Tuesday, we were told to rush her to another emergency vet. What started as a “nothing to worry about” prognosis turned into an emergency surgery that saved her life.

They removed the dead intestines, and Mochi spent several days in the ICU under critical care. She’s now home, recovering on strict meds and constant watch from me. I’m so grateful she made it through.
