Help Mocha Recover From IVDD Surgery & Epilepsy

Mocha is our 3 year old frenchie who recently experienced two seizures within 2-3 weeks. After her second seizure, she began to exhibit very odd symptoms; she was struggling to breathe, her lower legs were giving out, and she was clearly very uncomfortable and in a lot of pain. At this moment, we rushed her to various emergency veterinaries over the span of 48 hours. After bloodwork, X-Rays, a spinal tap, and an MRI scan, the neurologist informed us that Mocha has herniated two disks in her lower spine (L4 & L5). On top of this, Mocha’s seizures were caused due to a separate issue. Mocha is still undergoing tests to determine the primary cause of her seizures, however, they are most likely caused due to epilepsy. 

The total cost of the spinal surgery is $12,000, not including recovery/rehabilitation costs, and lifelong medications for epilepsy. On a brighter note, this surgery has a 95-97% success rate with no complications, therefore, we want to give Mocha a fighting chance to live her best life.

Mocha is the most lovable and sassy princess out there. She loves to greet everyone with wet kisses, lots of cuddles, and she has a true passion for swimming at the cottage.
