Hi, my name is Jenna, and I’m asking for help for my dog, Mocha-Finley, who means everything to me.
Mocha-Finley is 8 years old and the sweetest, gentlest dog I’ve ever known. For over a year, he has struggled with chronic anal gland issues that have now become severe and constant. Despite frequent vet visits, ongoing anal gland expressions, and repeated rounds of antibiotics, his condition has worsened.
For the past two months especially, he has been in daily pain. His anal glands are swollen and infected, making it very painful for him to sit, walk, and even go to the bathroom. He is struggling to eat with his increased pain, which means he cannot safely take the antibiotics he needs. Watching him be uncomfortable and in pain every day has been absolutely heartbreaking.
His veterinarian has confirmed that he urgently needs an anal sacculectomy (removal of both anal glands) to relieve his pain and stop the cycle of infection. The estimated gland removal alone is estimated at $3,609.40, and both glands will need to be removed. He also has several painful lumps that require surgical removal and biopsy, estimated at approximately $3,000; though the immediate priority is relieving his anal gland pain.
I am currently on ODSP, and despite doing everything I can, these costs are far beyond what I can manage alone. This surgery is not cosmetic or optional — it is necessary to give him relief, comfort, and a normal life again.
Every dollar raised will go directly toward:
- Urgent anal gland removal surgery
- Anesthesia, pain management, and post-operative care
- Follow-up treatment as required
If you are able to donate or share this fundraiser, you would be helping relieve a gentle dog’s suffering and give him the comfort he deserves. Even sharing this page means more than you know.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading and for caring about my boy. ❤️
